1st Soft Tacos!

Tacos are sold every part of Mexico. The tacos are filled with any kind of meat, cilantro, onion, salsa, and cooked onion in a tortilla. Tacos are the easiest to make also. You can put salt and lemon on them too. Tacos are delicious. They are great to eat at lunch or dinner. whenever I eat tacos I have a taste of Mexico! there are many kinds of tacos like hard tacos, the tortilla rolled up and deep fried.

2nd Tamales!

Tamales are the second best, they are great on a cold day to eat with milk. I have fun making tamales with my mom but I hate that they take a long time to make. The wrapping of the tamales is a corn husk. Inside the corn husk is the masa and inside that is the meat! They are also easy to make if you have all the ingredients. And if you don’t cook them for a certain amount of time they will come out all soggy…yucky..you don’t want that trust me they taste awful when they are not cooked fully. Tamales are great to eat whenever even for breakfast. my family and I eat them with red-hot salsa spread on top of the tamales but others put on sour cream. And for people who have never eaten a tamales you don’t eat the wrapping of the tamales a.k.a corn husk!

3rd Enchiladas!

Enchiladas are messy to eat but yummy! In a way they are like tacos because there is a tortilla and it is filled with something.  But the tortilla is dipped into a chili sauce and then can put mashed potato, chicken, cheese, and beans and many other things. Then when they are ready to eat you can put sour cream spread on top, some lettuce, crumbled mexican cheese and slices of tomatoes. You can also put any kind of salsa you want. You can eat them with a fork or your hands. It’s better with a fork because it’s very messy with your hands to eat it.

4th Chiles Rellenos!

Chiles Rellenos are delicious and sometimes spicy. A good chile to use is chile poblano because of their size and the flavor is very good. The chile is filled with many different things like refried beans, meat and other things but what many mexicans fill it with is a slice of queso fresco or any mexican cheese and cut into wedges. To have the chile closed up we use tooth picks. The yellow thing on the chile you see above is just egg to coat it and put them on the pan to cook with some oil and then your finished product will look like the picture above. It’s a long process but very worth it to do it all. Whenever my mom makes chiles rellenos she makes nopale soup and these potato and cheese pattys.

And last but not least is 5th Sopes!

Sopes are like tostadas and tortillas but the sope uses more masa so it is thicker(the bottom part). You can put many things on the sope but what my family does is that we spread re fried beans and a layer of lettuce then some queso fresco and avocado and tomatoes slices with some salsa on top. This is easy to make but are the last on my list because they aren’t that yummy compared to the other mexican food.

There are a lot of great dishes to choose from, it was hard to pick them. #1 The soft tacos man you can never get enough of those tacos mmmm..its making me hungry!
